One plus ... they never call at dinnertime like TruGreen to discuss chinchbugs or rootrot. Insecticide Treatments control Turf Destroying Insects in your lawn, such as chinch bugs and mole crickets. Weed Control Treatments using pre-emergent herbicides and post-emergent herbicides controls weeds in your lawn, such as dollarweed, sedge, and more!

HELPFUL HINTS TO REMEMBER

Regular irrigation is necessary to maintain your lawns appearance.

Frequency of irrigation should be 2 times per week 30 to 60 minutes per section in hot months, and once per week or as needed in cooler months. Remember coverage is more important than frequency.

Set your mower to its highest setting.

St. Augustine grass should be mowed high (3 to 4 inches) to help the lawn increase in density and help crowd out weeds.

Check mower blade sharpness monthly during the summer.

Dull blades will give the lawn a poor appearance and can cause fungus problems.

Please keep people and pets off the lawn until our treatments have dried.

There are several things throughout the year that may cause trouble in your landscape.

Some of these are nematodes, soil pH, uncontrollable weed varieties, heavy shade, soil compaction, poor sandy soils, inadequate rainfall or irrigation, high foot traffic areas, and cold damage. Some of these problems can't be corrected. Others we will try to overcome or offer recommendations when necessary. Please call us to discuss any persistent problems that become apparent throughout the year.

HELPFUL HINTS TO REMEMBER

Keep shrubs pruned at least one foot away from the home.

This will decrease access points for pests.

Keep tree limbs pruned off the roof.

Limbs that are in contact with the roof provide easy access for rodents and destructive pests, such as carpenter ants.

Ask your veterinarian about insect growth regulators for your pet(s).

These products are very effective in controlling fleas.

When insects infest shrubbery, many of them will secrete a sugary substance called honeydew.

Newly planted, weak, deficient, or high maintenance species of trees may periodically need to be supplemented with a tree specific type fertilizer.
